Made Smarter Innovation Sustainability Accelerator works with UK’s best technology innovators to develop challenge-focused solutions for industry-led challenges by offering access to:

Grant funding

Leading companies will be provided with £75,000 funding to develop challenge-focused solutions.

Business expertise

Support network of industry and technology experts to help develop impactful proof of concepts and build new technology prototypes.

Group learning

Be part of a cohort of eight companies made up of talented innovators from across a different range of sectors, all working towards improving productivity, resource and energy efficiency in the manufacturing sector.

Sustainability masterclass

A focused session to help companies develop and build technology solutions for sustainability-focused manufacturers.

Technical monitoring

Engineering expertise to increase confidence in the product development and push the boundaries of the technology – this monitoring also includes inputs from Digital Catapult technologists.

Funding for further development

Up to four companies will get access to additional £100,000 funding for continued development of their prototype within a pilot environment.

Find the right challenge

The applications must answer one of the industry-focused challenges stated below. It is important to understand how the companies’ prototypes could help challenges set by BAE Systems, Creagh Concrete and HS2.

Selection criteria

In order to be considered for the programme, the technology innovators will be requested to meet a set of requirements set by the Made Smarter Innovation Sustainability Accelerator and the partners of the programme.
